Guru Purnima 2016

Guru purnima is an auspicious day when the student pays his respects to his teacher. The Sanskrit term Guru mean teacher. This is an Indian festival which is dedicated to all the auspicious and spiritual teachers. This holiday is not only celebrated by Hindus but also by Jains and Buddhists. This festival takes place on a full moon day during the June- July duration. This festival also generated through the admiration showed by the students of Lord Buddha to Lord Buddha.

Guru Purnima 2016 falls on 19th July 2016. It is also known as Vyasya Purnma, Adi shankara, Sri Ramanuja Acharya and Sri Madhvacharya are some of the most notable gurus in the Hindu religion.
